About the Infrared Sauna:

- The infrared sauna allows users to relax in comfort close to the soothing infrared heat against the built-in ergonomic back rest whilst sitting on the extra deep, reversible bench. You can flip the bench at any time with one side being flat and the other side is ergonomic.

- The infrared sauna uses colour therapy or Chromotherapy. You can choose the colour you want to use during your session. Colour therapy is the use of colour light to assist inhealing physical, mental and spiritual energy imbalance. 

- The combination door handle and tablet cradle was designed for easy media viewing. You can place your tablet on the door handle to easily watch your favourite shows during your infrared sauna session.

- The sauna contains energy efficient LED lights, providing a gentle ambient lighting so you can relax comfortably. The open feel and Italian-inspired design completes the retreat experience of the infrared sauna.

- Charge your tablet or smart phone inside the infrared sauna with it’s own built-in charging and audio station. Connect your own audio device with Bluetooth or the included MP3 jack.

- The sauna's full spectrum near, mid and far infrared heaters deliver over 20 times the power of the nearest leading competitor. The patented heating system allows for the deepest penetration with peak performance for the best results for you.

- Contains digital keypad to control temperature, time, lights, heater intensity and reservation mode.

General Info:

- Please arrive 15 minutes ahead of your booking to allow time for an introduction and staff to set up the sauna for you

- It's highly recommended to be hydrated for your session. You can bring your water bottle with you

- The ideal temperature is between 48-53 degrees Celsius. If you are new to the infrared sauna experience, it is recommended you start at 48 degrees Celsius as your body will need time to adjust to the infrared heating.

- Each sauna room has Bluetooth connectivity so you can connect your device and listen to your choice of music or podcast.

- It is essential to shower before your infrared sauna session and within 30 minutes of completing your session. This ensures you will reap the full benefits of the detoxification process that come with the infrared sauna. Mounties Health & Fitness has recently upgraded shower and bathroom facilities for members to use.

- The recommended time inside the infrared sauna is 45 minutes. For new users, the sauna is inside a private space that you can step into if you need to have a break from the infrared sauna during your session.

Things to know:

- We advise you to avoid consuming caffeine, alcohol or other stimulants at least one hour prior to your infrared sauna. 

- It is also advised not to eat anything in the hour before your infrared sauna.

- You must have a shower right before using the infrared sauna and you should ensure you shower within 30 minutes after using the infrared sauna to get the frull detoxification benefits. 

- Each sauna is large enough to comfortably fit two people. We have couple infrared sauna sessions available, see reception staff for more information.

What to bring:

- At least three towels (one to sit on, one to put on floor in the sauna and one to shower with)

- You should wear swimwear or shorts and a sports bra. it is important the clothes are loose to ensure the infrared heating is absorbed into your body. 

- A change of clothes for after your post infrared sauna session shower. These should also be loose for opimimal results. 

- A water bottle to keep hydrated during your infrared sauna session. No glass. 

- Something to occupy your time in the infrared sauna. We recommend bringing a book or a device to connect to Bluetooth to listen to music or a podcast. However, we do encourage you to take this time to meditate and clear your mind and self reflect. Keep this in mind when choosing what to listen to or read.
